Achieving Optimal Performance: Carbon Ceramic Brake Bed-In
Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB) require a longer bed-in process compared to iron rotors to achieve optimal performance. Incomplete or excessive bed-in can impact braking performance. Please follow these steps carefully:
Initial Bed-In
(System warm-up and initial engagement of rotors and pads)

Speed: Perform gentle stops from 50 mph (80 km/h) down to 20 mph (32 km/h).

Pedal Strength: ≤50% pressure.

Repetition: 20 times.

Heavy Bed-In
(Forming the friction layer between rotors and pads)

Speed: Perform heavy stops from 90 mph (145 km/h) down to 75 mph (120 km/h).

Pedal Strength: Gradually increase from 30% to 50% to 80% pressure.

Repetition: 10 times.
Cool-Off Bed-In
(System cool-down)

Speed: Perform gentle stops from 50 mph (80 km/h) down to 20 mph (32 km/h).

Pedal Strength: Maintain ≤50% pressure.

Repetition: 10 times.
